Bloodfaust
a Xibalba story
This document is not yet complete.

Overview

Bloodfaust is a direct sequel to Inconsummate, set immediately following the final mission, Reap; Sow. This project serves the purpose of closing Goska's first character arc, introducing Algannor and the other Khalai survivors, and exploring Stroluum's new directives as the would-be leader of the swarm. The involvement of Thal'azim heavily impacts the plot of Bloodfaust and serves not only to add significance to the decisions made by other characters, but also to subtly characterize the Monolith, Thal'azim's faction.

Character Listing

inc-goska.gif
Francisco Goska
An ex-confederate operative infested by the wayward Tuzor, Goska reclaimed his free will following the death of the Overmind, and sought to repent for the sins he committed during his time as an agent of the swarm. How disciplined the infested soldier will be in his pursuit of repentance remains to be seen.

inc-stroluum.gif
Stroluum
The heir apparent to the throne of the Overmind, Stroluum is the magnate, a powerful creature engineered by Tuzor. Previously a mere pawn to be used by their creators, Stroluum demanded further evolution at their creator's hands, with a clear motive of becoming powerful enough to lead a proper swarm in the aftermath of the Overmind's death.

inc-tuzor.gif
Tuzor
As cunning as they are self-assured, Tuzor is a learned cerebrate that served to establish a foothold on Aiur during the invasion. Though their tactics are unorthodox, Tuzor's proven track record is difficult to argue with - even now, with the Overmind gone, the cerebrate remains in a position to take hold of the swarm once again.

kagg.gif
Kagg
Perhaps the most ruthless of the Overmind's servants, Kagg oversees the Surtur brood, a vicious and near-uncontrollable swarm that is only deployed when absolutely necessary. The Cerebrate itself is a rather unsympathetic creature, believing other Zerg unfit for the tasks given to them - a position not entirely unfounded, given the brutal efficiency of its minions. Kagg often seeks to overwhelm its foes with sheer numbers, without much care for any allies its brood may trample in the process.

algannor.gif
Algannor
Stalwart and steadfast as any a Protoss warrior, Algannor is a steward who served in Scion during the Zerg invasion. His servitude to the Conclave and to the people of Aiur is immovable, and yet holes in his philosophical armor are destined to appear when his vaunted leadership abandons him and his brethren on their war-torn homeworld.

Talmaris
Mentor to Algannor and acting leader of the Khalai survivors, Talmaris served as an aide to the Judicator caste prior to the collapse of the Conclave, and has little wartime experience. He defers battle strategy to his pupil whilst guiding his brethren with a steady hand, using his intimate knowledge of the Protoss people to prevent total despair from relinquishing all odds of survival.

thalazim.gif
Thal'azim
Few belligerents of the war on Aiur are as shrouded in mystery as this Nerazim agent. Though his purpose is ostensibly centered around aiding the Conclave in their evacuation, his actions belie an ulterior motive - one that could prove disastrous to all Khalai Protoss should Thal'azim have his way.

After rendezvousing with his fellow men, confronting the region's Protoss survivors, and being approached by an agent of the Monolith, Goska determines that the Khalai were not responsible for the attack, and the Terrans are brought to a young steward to plan their next move.
